Feature Walls

There are many options when it comes to a feature wall, you are only limited by your imagination.

Three things to consider
1. Choosing the Wall

Where possible, choose a wall that is uninterrupted by openings. If there are windows or doors it helps if there is symmetry in their position. Architectural elements such as a fireplace or some artwork can also be highlighted using a feature wall.

2. Colour

A feature wall should stand out but it should not conflict with the other colours in the room. You need to take into account the other wall colours, the flooring and the furnishings.

3. Sheen and Design

Flat, Low-sheen, Semi-Gloss, Gloss, Metallic, Suede and Pearl all have a different sheen and effect. Paints with lower sheen levels and texture, such as Suede, can help hide imperfections in the wall.

You can make an artist impression by choosing a design on the feature wall such as squares, stripes, circles, etc.
